Ox-Cart Man

By Donald Hall The man used the money he made to purchase things they needed.  Using an early American art style, the book tells the simple story of a farmer, his wife, his daughter, and his son, who worked all year to gather, grow and make goods to sell at the market.  Then loads his wagon with this year's produce and makes the trip to Portsmouth, barters his goods, uses the money he made to purchase things they need and returns home.
